Neverfail's technology has the ability to clone the desired system and create an exact duplicate of the system on the network all the way down to the IP address.  By employing an IP filter or mask, it allows the machines to both be powered on at the same time without experiencing an IP conflict within the network.  The heartbeat channel continuously monitors for failure and if failure is detected, Neverfail removes the IP filter from the passive system and enables it as the active system and then places the IP filter on the now failed active system...all in just seconds.  A notification is immediately sent to a network administrator informing him that a failure has occured, once the system failure has been corrected he simply switches the role of the systems back with a single click of a mouse.
